electrical engineering

This field deals with the study of electricity, electronic equipments, electromagnetism and its applications. It involves power transport, circuits, usage of computers, signal processing and telecommunication. Electrical engineers have contributed to a large amount of growth in the world the beginning being the power generation. The use of electrical engineering not just applied in the industries but also in every household. It is almost impossible to imagine life without all the electronic instruments we use in our day-to-day lives.

Power, electronics, signal processing, microelectronics, telecommunications, instrumentation and computers are just some of its branches. Power engineering involves generation and distribution of power, which also includes use of transformers, generators, motors, etc. Control engineering aims at designing circuits, signal processors etc. Microelectronics deals with the design and fabrication of electronic components that are very small. This helps in reducing sizes of instruments. Telecommunications is used to transfer information using either cables or free space.Satellites are now used to transmit signals. Instrumentation engineering is a branch that designs instruments that measure quantities like pressure, temperature, flow, frequency, etc. There is no denying that the product of this branch of engineering has immensely helped the humanity to live comfortably. This is a very fast growing industry with new appliances having a completely new purpose being manufactured every day. Telecommunication is an important branch of electrical engineering, which also has seen rapid grown ever since the invention of telephone and radios. The past decade has seen a boom in the usage of cellular phones, which is also a product of this branch of engineering.
